What the job involved
Project story.
Glenview’s newer subdivisions often mix Hardie fields with wood trim that weathers faster at edges and south faces. This home needed an even exterior refresh without fighting an HOA over surprise color shifts. We confirmed the palette before paint day and wrote access and protection notes into the scope.
Prep focused on washing, caulking open joints, and priming bare trim. Hardie takes coatings differently than cedar, so we did not treat the elevations like a shake house. Garage doors and fascia were included so the finished look stayed consistent from the street.
Open lots make staging easier than ravine properties, but wind still carries overspray. Daily plant and hardscape protection stayed part of the routine. Neighbors notice curb appeal quickly in these subdivisions, which is why crisp garage and fascia lines matter as much as the main wall color.
The written scope and the process notes are the record of how the job was run.
