Who we are

Bold Core LLC (dba Bold Coat Painters) is a painting company serving Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. This policy covers boldcoatpainters.com and the forms on it. Questions go to info@boldcoatpainters.com.

What we collect

When you request an estimate, book a walkthrough, save a price, or write to us about a job, we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number, town, the service you are asking about, and any notes you add.

When you use the estimator we store the scope you described and the price our engine returned, so the saved estimate still exists when you come back to its link.

Your browser also tells every website certain things automatically, and ours is no exception: an IP address, a user agent, the page you arrived from, and which pages you looked at.

How we use it

To answer you, schedule a walkthrough, price the work, and do the job. To keep a record of what you agreed to and when. To understand which pages bring people to us so we spend less on advertising that does not work.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not buy lists.

Cookies and analytics

The site loads Google Tag Manager after your first interaction, or after three seconds, whichever comes first. Inside that container we run Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people use and where they give up.

Events we record never carry a price. They carry which step you reached, never what your job would cost.

We use browser storage to remember calculator choices for one day, estimate-page visits and submitted inquiries for 30 days, and dismissed offers for seven days. These records help you resume pricing and avoid repeated prompts. Calculator drafts stored this way do not include your name, phone number, or email.

Your browser settings control cookies, and blocking them does not stop the site working. We do not show a cookie banner: one that appears on every visit to collect a click nobody reads is not consent in any meaningful sense.

Advertising

We advertise on Google and on Meta. We do not sell advertising space, and no advertising network serves ads to you on this site.

What does happen is measurement: the Google Ads tag and the Meta pixel sit in the same container as our analytics, and they tell those platforms when a visit turned into an estimate request. That is also what lets us show you our own advertisement again after you have visited, which the industry calls remarketing.

Those platforms set their own cookies and we do not control what they do with them. You can turn personalized advertising off at the source, which works across every site rather than just this one: Google at adssettings.google.com, Meta in your account ad preferences, and most other networks together at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

Who sees it

Our own team, so someone can call you back. Our hosting, database, email and text message providers, who process it only to deliver the thing we asked them to deliver. Anyone we are legally required to give it to.

That is the whole list. We do not pass your details to other contractors, lead brokers, or advertising networks.

Email and text messages

We email you about the estimate or job you asked us about. If you give us your mobile number and agree to be texted, we use it to confirm appointment times and tell you when an estimator is on the way. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Every email carries a way to unsubscribe.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with the service providers who support our operations, such as the company that delivers the messages. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

A saved estimate expires thirty days after you make it and is swept from the database after that unless it became a job. Contact details and the record of what you consented to are kept while we might reasonably still be working together, and then for as long as our tax and insurance obligations require.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it or delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it. Email info@boldcoatpainters.com and a person will read it.

Withdrawing consent to be emailed or texted stops those messages and does not affect anything else.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and the database sits behind credentials held by a small number of people. No system is perfect, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. If something goes wrong we will say so.

Children

This is a site for people hiring painters. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us something, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

When this policy changes we will post the new version here and move the date at the top. There is no other version of it.
